Its source begins on the wind-swept Durbise plateau, at an altitude of 1,450 meters.

It is one of the highest waterfall in Auvergne and you will enjoy a very beautiful viewpoint! Be careful, as the path may be slippery, and you will need a good sturdy pair of shoes!

The hike starts at the thermal establishment of Mont Dore. You will then pass through Durbise plateau. Once you reached the plateau, you will be able to enjoy the valley of Mont-Dore, as well as a beautiful view over Puy de Sancy.

The more adventurous hikers can reach Sancy ridges from the plateau.

The waterfalls of Chiloza are a succession of waterfalls over about 1km. It starts with the Saut de Bec, and you’ll then find the Cascade de la Reine, the Caverne, the Chaudrons…

These waterfalls are located on the Couze Pavin, a river starting from Lake Pavin. In a typical landscape of our region, you’ll discover the « oules » and « marmites de géants » marking out the river, surrounded by a dense forest of conifers and beech trees.

This waterfall is located in the heart of the Chaudefour valley nature reserve. It is over 30-meter high!

A marked-out trail will lead you to discover this wonder over the course of a 2-to-3h hike. The path is very steep, and it is strongly recommended to wear hiking shoes. There are many stream crossings and they can slippery.

The waterfall of Entraigues is an 18-meter high waterfall, encased in a vale surrounded by a dense vegetation, predominantly made up of ferns and beech trees. To get there, you will need to start at the village of Egliseneuve-d’Entraigues. The waterfall is a 10-minute walk from the entrance of the village.
